Trinity Youth at Trinity Baptist Church
6th through 12th graders find their place at Trinity Baptist Church. Trinity Youth will often find themselves learning deeper stories of the Bible as well as discussing lessons relevant to being a teenager in today's day and age.
On Sunday mornings, Trinity Youth will usually have a small-group discussion about their week, what God is doing in their lives, and close with a short devotional. We know it's hard to be up early on a Sunday morning, but we've seen incredible relationships built from teens that commit to showing up on Sunday mornings.
Wednesday nights are food food, fellowship, and learning how to live Spiritually in our crazy world. Our Youth Director, Dillon Young, leads our teens in worship, games, and relevant Bible teaching. We stress applying the words of the Bible to today's life. Oh... Did we mention there's almost always pizza?
Ready to plan a visit?
Here's what to expect when visiting Trinity Youth for the first time:
First, come in through the side door by the parking lot, or the front door. In the kitchen, you'll find someone from our church ready to meet you and show you around.
When teens show up for the first time, they will be asked for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):
- Parent/guardian name(s)
- Child's name
- Child's birthdate
- Home address
- Phone number
- Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children
A Typical Wednesday Night
The Youth Room is usually open by 4:30-5:00 PM. Air hockey, ping-pong, music, snacks, and even a Nintendo Switch are available during our hang-out time before Youth.
We usually start with a fun game on our TV. All students are encouraged to participate. Sometimes we use our phones to text in answers... other times it's the first person to eat the weirdest flavor of baby food. Yeah. Things get weird.
After a game, we usually take a break to eat. This is a great time for our teens to catch up with each other and with our small-group leaders. Pizza is usually on the menu, but we will occasionally change things up.
To close the night we usually have a short lesson followed by small-group discussion. Our teens are encouraged to participate in these conversations and to apply it to their personal lives. In today's age, students NEED to talk about these things.
Times
Sunday School begins at 9:45 AM on Sunday mornings. If you're new, we'll have someone show you around so you won't get lost. Our church family is super friendly, so fitting in won't be a problem!
Sunday Morning Worship begins at 11:00 AM. Babies through 3 y/o's can stay in the nursery. We ask that children sit with an adult during the worship service. We believe that it is very important for kids to see their parents participate in church!
TeamKid kicks off at 6:00 PM on Wednesday nights with a meal for students and volunteers. Then, programming will run from 6:30-7:30 PM. If you leave your child at the church for TeamKid, we ask that you are there to pick them up between 7:30-7:45 PM.
Parents have a place too!
Don't forget that we have an Adult Discipleship Class that meets at the same time as TeamKid. We'd love for you to join us from 6:30-7:30 PM, as well.
